La Cineteca Nacional de Mexico, gives you the warmest welcome. As an active member of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF), the most important film venue in the country is pleased to have you as guests. This space with 10 cinemas, an outdoor forum and a gallery, has received up to 1,300,000 attendees in a year, also represents the largest exhibitor of Mexican cinema of artistic search and figure in the list of the 50 most beautiful cinemas in the world.

As a film archive, it also has six vaults, where jewels belonging to Mexican cinematography rest, works that are living memory, unique or in danger of disappearing. After its remodeling, the Digital Restoration Laboratory was established, one of the few of its kind in all of Latin America and whose processes require specialized personnel.

Tireless in the work of preservation and dissemination of Mexican cinema and a window to foreign filmographies that would otherwise remain unpublished in our country. To talk about the Cineteca Nacional is to talk about the Muestra Internacional de Cine, which has been held at its headquarters since 1977, key to the formation of audiences and the development of specialized criticism.

In 2024, this archive and film venue will celebrate 50 years of being a benchmark of national culture.
